Happy Earth Day

""
We celebrated Earth Day this week by planting lettuce, radishes and carrots in large pots. They will stay safe inside our classroom until it is warm enough to bring them outside. The students also each planted a sunflower that they will be bringing home to re-plant. We also planted red runner bean seeds in a plastic bag with paper towels and water, and we are already spotting some roots growing.
We have a couple of science inquiries happening in our room. What will happen when we soak gummy bears in water for five days? What will happen when we place white carnations in vases with water and food colouring and let them soak for a few days?
Lots of friends are still bringing in signs of spring for our Science table.
