A Wonderful Week

We took full advantage of the beautiful sunshine this week and just enjoyed the weather! Let's hope for warm and sunny weather on Tuesday for our Teddy Bear picnic.

Happy Victoria Day

We set our butterflies free this week. We hope they are happy in their new surroundings. Our plants are  growing. The bean plants are getting really big and our radishes are sprouting up. We continued to learn about famous artists, Kandinsky, Van Gogh, Picasso and Mondrian. We have been inspired to create some of our own masterpieces. We hope everyone has a great long weekend.

 We're getting very close to the end of the year and things are getting pretty busy around here. Watch note totes carefully for important dates. E.g. Teddy Bear Picnic on May 31st, field trip to Colasantis on Monday June 20 and primary play day on Wednesday June 22.

Planting Season

Planting season is here. We planted beans in our classroom this week and we planted carrots, lettuce and radishes in pots outside. We now have butterflies! Some of our caterpillars have turned into butterflies, we are patiently waiting for the others before we set them all free! As if we weren't busy enough this week, we began a famous artist study. We made beautiful pictures modelled after the artists, Kandisky and VanGogh.

A Busy Week

We have had a very busy week in our Early Years classroom. On Tuesday we travelled to Anderdon Public school to watch the play The Little Mermaid. It was great, we enjoyed it very much. On Wednesday, our very own Malden students demonstrated they have lots of musical and dramatic talent at our Talent Show. We even had performances from our own JK/SK students. They were awesome. The rest of the week we did what we do best, we played lots and learned even more!
