Goodbye February

It is so hard to believe this is the last week of February. Time sure flies when you are having fun. We had lots of fun this week going back to learning about colours, something we talked about in September. We did a couple of experiments to see what happens when you mix colours together. We were busy in the kitchen this week as well, making butter and cupcakes!

Quick Week

We hope everyone enjoyed their extra long family day weekend. It made for a fast week at school. We did however find time to squeeze in making chocolate chip cookies for our Kindergarten open house. We all had to try them first, of course, to make sure they were okay to share. They were! We had an electrical safety presentation in the gym where we learned many great safety rules! We had some really great craft supplies to work with this week. And as part of our discussions about being a good friend, we are learning words we can use to apologize to a friend if we hurt them in some way.

HappyValentine's Day

We got lots of treats to share for Valentine's Day and our room was a sea of red and white! What a busy week we have had. We had one of our first snowfalls and we made pancakes on Tuesday. This week we also started conducting science experiments in class. One involved dissolving candy hearts in different solutions and the other was investigating how Arctic Animals stay warm in the cold! Ask your little one how they stay warm.
