We're Going Buggy!

This week we are investigating bugs. We've learned about insects and arachnids. Ask your child about the difference between these two. We also came up with some more things that we wondering about bugs, so we definetly need to investigate some more. We have also continued discussing nursery rhymes, fairytales and fables. Ask your child about the moral of The Tortoise and The Hare, or The Little Red Hen or The Boy from the Dragon Palace.

Busy Days!

It is that time of year when our days are filled with lots of activities. This week, we welcomed some of our new friends that are joining the Malden family next year. We enjoyed the Malden talent show on Thursday, and even had a few of our students perform! We enjoyed watching the opening ceremonies during track and field and enjoyed watching some of the events. We sent home an announcement of upcoming June events, on the 15th we have a Teddy Bear Picnic at the park next to the school, the 19th is our Hillman Marsh field trip and on the afternoon of June 20th we will participate in primary play day. Lots of fun times coming up! Happy Mother's Day to all the Moms and Grandmas out there. We hope you enjoy your special treats we made.

Welcome May!

I thought April showers brought May flowers. May showers bring lots of indoor recesses. Let's hope the sun shines soon. We have however kept very busy. We are learning or for some friends reviewing our doubles facts. We have also been learning to use our new rekenreks, ask your child to explain how we use the racks with the red and white beads on them.
