Welcome December!

Welcome December. We have been busy this week making sugar cookies and learning about
graphing. No surprise, but when we chose our favourite kind of cookie, sugar cookies came out on top. Our favourite holiday song is, "We Wish You A Merry Christmas". We think that has something to do with the students' performance in music using the boom whackers to the song "We Wish You A Merry Christmas".
Moms and Dads please check the December school caldendar, you can find it online, for all the activities that are happening at Malden this month. Spirit week starts on Monday December 14th with Jersey Day, wear your favourite team jersey. Tuesday is crazy hair day, Wednesday is twin day, Thursday is pajama day and Friday is red and green day! Remember not next week, but staring on the 14th.

Dear Santa

We have a new holiday writing centre in our classroom and we've been busy sending lots of notes, cards, letters and pictures to Santa, the elves and our friends. Our Grade 6 buddies visited this week and helped us write a letter to Santa, which we promptly sent off to the North Pole this week.

Shapes, Shapes Everywhere!

We discovered this week that shapes are all around us. This week we are focusing on learning about 2D Shapes. We searched our school hallway and found lots of 2D shapes. We are also continuing to discuss healthy foods and ways to keep our body healthy. We just love making books, right now! Hope you are enjoying the great books that you child has created!
