A Great Big Thank You To Our Local Firefighters!

UPCOMING FIELD TRIP - Just a reminder we are going to Thiessen's Orchard in Leamington on Thursday October 16th. Please return permission forms and/or money, if you haven't done so yet. Thanks.

We would like to give the Malden Fire Station Firefighters a great big thank you for helping us
learn about fire safety this week. Not only did we learn a lot but we had so much fun! We learned what sound a fire alarm makes, how to crawl under smoke, how to dial 911 and we even got to spray the fire hose!
A big shout out of thanks to all the Moms, Dads and Grandparents who volunteered to walk with us. They almost out numbered the students.

We got our Lego shipment this week and wow is it a big hit! We love building with Lego. We also added a puppet theatre to our outdoor play. We are hoping for some very dramatic productions!

We have been busy with apples this week. Last Friday we made apple crisp. It was delicious, and with the extra apples we snacked on apple slices and cinnamon and then used the others to make apple print paintings.

Another Busy Week

We visit the Fire hall on Wednesday morning. Parents are welcome to come and walk with us. The next day is picture day on Thursday, Oct. 9. The next week we will be visiting Thiessen's to pick pumpkins on Oct. 16th. Please remember to return permission forms.

We hope you get a chance to check out our Scarecrow on display this Saturday at the Bright Child Montessori. We worked very hard to put him together and had lots of fun. Thanks to all the families who donated items for our scarecrow.

Our Grade 6 Buddies come visit us every week to read with us and help us use the I-Pads.

Everyday is a busy one in the Early Years room. We are practising making patterns, creating at the art centre, building with blocks and practicing our drawing and writing.
