Easter

We hope everyone has an enjoyable long weekend. We were  busy this week making Easter crafts. We dyed Easter eggs, made bunny holders and baked sugar cookies. Some of our Grade 6 Buddies came to our room to help us make special Easter crafts, bunny masks, bunny envelopes and Easter cards. We completed our egg experiment and discovered that an egg soaked in vinegar loses it's white shell. It disappeared, the vinegar dissolved it. This week we had some special visitors. Some our of new JKs who will attend school next fall, came and spent the morning with us on Tuesday. Our students were very welcoming and helpful with our new friends.

Welcome Back

We were excited to welcome all of our friends back after what we hope was a restful and enjoyable March Break for all of our families. We have been very busy this week and we were so pleased with how everyone remembered the routines and were eager and ready to work and play hard.

We are busy looking for signs of Spring, and are encouraging the students to bring in pictures or items that tell us Spring is here!

To celebrate the upcoming Easter holiday we are conducting an egg experiment and making lots of Easter crafts.

This week the students are bringing in their Eetchie or mystery objects to share with their classmates and we are so impressed with how well they are answering the questions.

We continue to ask our students to answer the question of the day. While discussing this each day there are great opportunities to discuss concepts related to language and math.

March Break

Well we made it, we will celebrate a well deserved break next week. We are so happy that the warmer weather has arrived and we will be looking for signs that Spring is arriving. One sure sign is the melting snow and big puddles on the playground, many of our friends are getting a little wet outside. You may want to send in a change of clothes for their cubby.

Welcome March!!!!

We are happy that March is here and we are starting to look for and have already noticed some signs of Spring!  We continue to keep busy trying lots of wonderful new things each week in our Early Years classroom. We made soft pretzels this week! We are trying to rush the season by making some beautiful suns to brighten up our classroom. The children are still interested in learning about dinosaurs and we had a visit from the Windsor Symphony Orchestra this week!
