Happy Holidays!

We like to wish everyone in our early years family a very happy holiday! We hope you get some time to rest and spend time enjoying your family. We will be excited to welcome everyone back in the new year.
We say goodbye this week to Miss Robinet and Mr. Drayton as they head back to the faculty of education after Christmas. We will miss them, especially the students. We wish them well and hope your children may someday be lucky enough to have them as teachers!

Phew, we made it to the Christmas holidays. It was a little bit busy in the Early Years Room with lots of exciting days, p.j. day, crazy hair day, twin day, red and green day and festive hat day. But we had lots of fun and the students did a great job at following our routines despite how exciting this time of year is.

A Delicious Week

Our two student teachers, Mr. Drayton and Miss Robinet are doing a fabulous job with our students. And we are certainly enjoying having them in our classroom.

The students are continuing to explore about movement of objects, planning and with building blocks and making crafts.

As part of our holiday celebration theme continues we invited Mr. Palumbo and the Grade 4s to our classroom to share in a special luncheon. Mr. Palumbo made some delicious pasta for our lunch. We had a pasta with red meat sauce and white pasta with oil and garlic sauce. We had some healthy salad with an oil and red wine vinegar dressing. The Early Year students made some yummy cupcakes the day before, to share with all of our friends.

Welcome December

It is a pleasure to welcome our two teacher candidates from the Faculty of Education, Miss Robinet and Mr. Drayton. They are already a great addition to our classroom.

Our teacher candidates had the students investigating about movement this week, by rolling different objects down different size ramps.

We have become very interested in drawing and writing in our journals.

We've been very busy doing lots of activities related to Christmas. Over the next couple of weeks we will be discussing different holiday celebrations and traditions around the world.
